STATS STUFF:
Name: Graeme
Real name: Graeme's real enough for the internet.
E-mail address: a.mccowie@mailbox.uq.edu.au
Web page: http://www.uq.edu.au/~ccamccow/ (needs updating)
Other newsgroups you frequent: Hmm, embarassment time. RAC Marvel X-books
(it's cheaper than buying them) and RAC DC Vertigo (some of which I do
buy).
Length of time on the 'net: 4 years this December.
Length of time as a net.goth: intermittent lurking and random posting
since 94 on alt.gothic, and since 95 on aus.culture.gothic (but very
little over the last year or so). Does this qualify me as a net.goth?
Place of residence: Annerley, Queensland
APPEARANCE:
Chromosonal makeup: The male one. XY, isn't it?
Age: Watching 28 bear down relentlessly on me, with 30 looming in the
background threateningly.
Height: 174cm
Weight: 75 kg
Hair for this week: Very dark brown with occasional strands of white.
Will probably be black next week, though, not that anyone will notice.
Natural haircolor: Very dark brown with occasional strands of white.
Eyes: Brown, although someone once told me hazel.
Tattoos: None. Have never been able to think of one that I'd want to
get.
Piercings: None.
Preferred clothing: My black Pendragon boots, black jeans and
short-sleeve shirt. Favourite shirt is a
black, collared one that's now about five or six years now and has faded
to several shades of grey. But it's comfortable, and I admire its
durability.
Caught in the act clothes*: Blue jeans, white sandshoes and either my
Kermit Unplugged or Tommy Emmanuel t-shirt.
[*caught in the act refers to caught in the act of not being goth (oh
the horror!)]
LIFESTYLE:
Occupation: Site license administration (not just a job, it's a
punishment too!)
But I'd really like to be a: member of the idle rich.
Martial status: Married
Mating status: Not sure I understand the gist of the question, but
suspect the answer should probably involve my wife.
Sexual preference: Female, blonde hair, fair skin. Lots of money
desirable, but not essential. Just the basic Claudia Schiffer package,
really - nothing extravagant.
Number of other acg'ers you've been "intimate" with: None that I've
known about. If anyone suspects otherwise I'd appreciate hearing about
it, though.
Religion: I won't bother God if he doesn't bother me. Seems to work for
both of us so far.
Hours of sleep per day: 3-5.
Time of day when you're at your best: About 11pm on weekends or when I
haven't been at work that day. If during a working day, there's no time
I'm at my best, but plenty of times it's best to keep a safe distance.
Pets: The Budgie.
Dietary classification: Random, depending on mood. anything involving
chocolate is considered fair game, though.
Perky/mopey/neither: Somewhere between manic and brooding.
Liver: No, thanks, I've already eaten.
Hobbies: Killing things on the computer (lots), a little web page
design, Old Icelandic literature (less often than I'd like to).
FAVOURITES:
Band: Now? Queen. Dismal Euphony and Therion are also getting played
a lot at the moment, too.
Band that you are ashamed to admit you like on here: The Wiggles.
Pub: Embassy Hotel, Edward & Elizabeth St, Brisbane
Cafe: Cafe da Vinci, Albert St.
Club: Damn. Caught out. Haven't been to one for ages, but the last
one, Gothique, was pretty good.
Epitaph: "Did I just miss something?"
Book/author: JRR Tolkien or Stephen Donaldson.
TV show: Southpark or Millenium.
Actor/actress: Clint Eastwood.
Movie: The Empire Strikes Back
Artist/artwork: John Howe, his work on the various Lord of The Rings
calendars.
Animal: Sloths rock.
Food: Pizza. Or Mongolian Lamb.
Drink: Coke.
Texture: Freshly-washed sheets on a freshly-made bed.
Place to go: Dark corner in a loud club. No better place to be alone.
MISCELLANY:
If you were stranded on a tropical island, what three things would you
want with you?
1) A fully-furnished and air-conditioned mansion with its own power
facilities and plumbing.
2) My computer.
3) The Budgie, because he'd get lonely if I left him behind.
Thin Elvis or Fat Elvis: Fat Elvis. Because that leads directly to
Fat, "Dead" Elvis, who's been so much more entertaining than when he was
alive.
What is your greatest desire right now: Omnipotence for a week - enough
time to get things sorted out and prove that I *do* know best, not enough
time for it to become boring.
What pisses you off the most: Management. Cultists with tesla
cannons.
What has the exact opposite effect: Loyalty, courtesy. You know, basic
decency in dealing with people.
Anything else you want to say that you don't feel is covered above:
"Kindness costs nothing, but cruelty is more fun."
