Synopsis | Brotherhood of the Caribbean

The Island of Las Aves

“Welcome ashore, gentlemen, rogues and those in-between. P'rhaps ye are still wondering what be happening in the last day to bring us to this pretty state.

“Well, as ye all know, we be hired by the French Navy to help them plunder the last Dutch colony in the New World, the fabulously wealthy Curacoa! As we be sailing past this little Isle of Las Aves, the French Admiral Comte D'Estrees espied a pair of Dutch frigates taunting him somewhat fierce. Unfurling their sails, the mighty French West Indies fleet hurtled itself after this saucy foe.

“Needless to say, the big keeled French Man-o-War ploughed into the reefs around this isle. A greater part than half went to the bottom, in a terrible loss of life and property. Our buccaneer and privateer vessels, being so much smaller, moored at the isle untouched to see what would occur.

“So here we sit, debating as to what course our assembled host should take, the opportunities afforded a fleet for plunder being so much greater than that for a single vessel.

“And once we have both reached a decision upon the victim of our intentions, and likewise have finally run out of fair French liquor, we shall be sailing into the annals of history as the greatest Pirate raid of all time.

“Now, what be the goal of this here Freeform?

“Tis simple. Each Player is vying to be named as the Greatest of them all!"
