The plot of "Saigon in Flames" revolves around a mysterious
artifact known as “The Jade Buddha with the Golden Bat”, a cursed item
with mystical powers. Through the nature of its curse and the forces of
fate, the artifact has ended up in South-East Asia.
The Freeform is set in April, 1975. The Vietnam War is in its
final stages. U.S. forces are currently operating only in the south of
the country, with the mainstay of units being deployed in the capitol,
Saigon.
Rumours are abound that the artifact has made its way to
Saigon. Conspiracies and various organisations around the world have
sent agents into the city, in an attempt to locate the item. Players
play Characters belonging to one of these Conspiracy groups and join
the search in one of the world’s most dangerous cities on Earth!

The first Pointless Mental Cruelty game was "Saigon in Flames", a 9-12 player freeform/multiform set in 1975 Vietnam. Despite our session running with only 6 players, it worked anyway... It would've worked a whole lot better with the full 12 players, but it was still fun anyway.
