This has caused many problems, and it appears the stronghold of Toreador power is gradually falling to the Ventrue. The Toreador are seeking allies to stand with them. Rumours of co-operation between clans and the establishing of a better communications system keep occuring. Spain is firmly a Lasombra stronghold. There are also Assemites and Follows of Set in Spain, and its said many Gangrel make there homes in the pyranees. Tensions in Spain are rising and the coming holy inquisition is starting to make people nervous. Some Lasombra are curious as to how much Toreador influence of the church is behind these troubled times, but most don't give credence to this belief. Marsellies has no prince - rather a group of vampires with trading interests representing a number of clans. Marsellies is said to be a free port for all vampires. The group controling it is said to consist of Lasombra, Ventrue,Cappadocians and even a Follower of Set. Germany is divided by many civil wars and the Lasombra and Ventrue seem to be firmly behind this problem. The war for control of the Germananic lands is not over yet. Bohemia - Was Tzimsce controlled - However the ventrue and the Lasombra's wars have forced the Tzimsce to retreat from there western most stronghold Its also rumoured that the Ventrue have made a pact with the Austrian Tremere and are using the Tremere to fight the Tzimsce and push them back further, Russia is the Tzimsce stronghold, and would take a great army to even make a dent. Italy - Rome is the center of Italian power, and has a suprisingly small cainite population. The amount of humans with True Faith makes it a dangerous place for vampires. However the corruption in the church allows for some. The Toreador have a strong influence over the church, and its also said that the catacombs under Rome house one of the largest nests of Nosferatu in the world. The powerful city states of Northern Italy are ruled by the Lasombra. However the most powerful state Venice is said to being having serious problems with a cabal of Cappadocian necromancers calling themselves the Giovanni. The Lasombra strength in Milan is also fading with the current weak prince in power. It's also rumoured that Anti-Imperial sentiments in the northern Italian city-states are being stirred up by the Brujah. It's true that these cities see large amounts of traffic through them, but only one known Brujah is living in Milan at least, so some are curious as too where these rumours are coming from.
