Coonawarra/Great Ocean Road Trip
- Friday
- Leave Melb to drive to Naracoorte. Maybe stop by Hamilton and
visit Tania.
- Arrive at Narracoote
- Book into Motel/ Accomodation - Greenline Motel - address is Bordertown Road
- Saturday
- Visit Tourist info place and talk to them. They at located at 27 Arthur St - Penola. They should have good maps of winery locations - suggested routes to travel through the wineries and also good suggestions on where to get great food for dinner.
- Wineries (see what can walk to and what would rather drive,
if fit enuff walking may be nice)
- Nice Dinner
- Sunday
- Book out of motel
- Naracoote Caves - Tourtime 10.15am Victoria Fossil Cave
- Padthaway Vineyards
- Back to Coonawarra for more wineries until we get bored
- Leave and travel towards Warnambool until get tired and then find
somewhere to stay.
- Monday
- Leisurely drive to Otway
- Suggested places to stop include Warnambool, Loch Arde Gorge,
Logans Beach (Whales!), 12 (now 8) Apostles, Port Cambell
National Park.
- Otway national Park. - 40mins rainforest walk
- Otway Lighthouse thingys. and SOme extra info
- Timboon. Really need to find out if anything worth looking at in timboon - like a factory door or something
- Stay over night in Apollo Bay. Motel is Costal Motel -
its 171 Great Ocean Rd - and has a spa in room!
- Remember that Monday is public holiday
- Tuesday
- Otway National Park and Timboon (depending on what we find time for on monday)
- Travel home at reasonable time.
