How much control can you have on anothers action?
    What is freedom?
    What is security?
    What is manipulation?
    What is control?
    What is the future?

In 2004 the Goverment instituted the population control act in the interested of preserving humanities future. The Big Machine, upon who's projections future society was planned, deemed it nessessary. Only certain people were given permission to have a child. Parents who disobeyed the law were taken away and publicly executed. Those illegal children became outcasters, kept in government detention facilities.

In a world where you have no rights, do you ever wish you had never been born?

"Pay no attention to the monsters of the past and the monsters of the future, walk the Now road."

A 5 player serious systemless multiform.
Heavily inspired by the novel Sea of Glass by Barry B Longyear.

Sea of Glass is possible my favourite ever novel. Its an evil little book about a future where everyone is monitored and projections has become a science with which all human action can be predicted and planned and the future based on the fact that we know what people will do now. And its easy to tweak things. That is put someone in circumstances to gain a desired reaction. A Big Machine plans the future.

Illegal children are put in a detenstion center under horrific conditions. And there isn't alot more I can say without giving plot spoliers for the novel - which is well worth tracking down a copy and reading.

This game should be an intense game, with a high level of mind fuck and lots of basic sociology. Think of Beta v0.1 as almost a precurser to this game. In that that both deal with basic sociology theory. In this case the whole nature vrs nuture and enviroment vrs genetics arguement.

5 characters - 5 'almost' identical characters sheets My name is 'x' and this is what I know This game is going to be a challenge to write. The idea is to give the players a real incertainity over how much control over there own actions they have. (Making an RPG the prefect forum) We need to give the players complete freedom, but at the same time - throw them the right stimulus in order to predict there actions before they are made. In some ways an ordinary game - five characters and a mission. Needs a twist. At the moment its just an ordinary game... Thinking about it, this game does definitaly need to be written with neef - (after all he is a structualist :) I guess the players need to know they have no control at all, and still believe they may be able to change the course of events - need to know everything is inevitable, but hope a random brick will change things. hmm... Need to read more soc theory before writing this. Again, set in a dark future
